As a private detective, Jake Decker had not had much more successful than he’d had as a boxer, a Marine, or a Houston police officer. Not that he was actually ‘bad’ at any of them. His problem was more with the rules than it was the job itself. He believed in results…and he wasn’t to particular about how he got them. Big on brawn and attitude and lacking in money and patience, he and his beautiful secretary and PI partner, Mel, find themselves neck deep in violence, lies, and danger as they search for the missing daughter of a high-ranking local gang leader.
